If you wish to delete your TackSwap account and associated data, follow the steps below.
How to Request Account Deletion From The App
- Go to Account > Edit profile > and click on Delete Account ( Bottom of the page)
- 1 Alternatively: Send an email to info@tackswap.co.uk
- 2 Use the subject line: "Delete my TackSwap account"
- 3 Include the email address you used to register your TackSwap account
- 4 We will process your request and delete your account and associated data within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days). We may contact you to verify your identity before completing the deletion.
What Data We Delete
When your TackSwap account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- Your profile (name, display name, email, phone, photo, location)
- All listings you created
- Your messages and conversations
- Saved listings
- Reviews you gave or received
- Any reports you filed or that referenced you
- Your authentication account
What Data We Retain
We are required by law to retain certain data:
- Transaction records (buyer/seller details, amounts, dates) for at least 7 years as required by UK tax and financial regulations
- Anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked back to you
Note: Account deletion is irreversible. If you have a connected Stripe account for receiving payments, we will also process its disconnection as part of your deletion request.
